Property Description
Mullins is a wonderful 4-bed self catered spacious holiday home with swimming pool situated in the country where The New Forest meets the sea, the best of both worlds! It's a house for all seasons with its outdoor pool and cosy aga and log fire in winter time, daffodil banks in the spring, ideal for larger groups, whether you are one big family, two smaller ones or four couples. It is a place where you can be together, without feeling on top of each other; where you can socialise, yet escape to a quiet corner, if the mood takes you. Sunlight streams into the house making it bright and cheerful and the patio is so sheltered that a cup of coffee can be enjoyed outside on a sunny November morning. Set in its own fully enclosed garden, Mullins has views stretching out over farmland and you can see down Southampton water and as far as Winchester on a clear day. Pubs and restaurants can be easily reached on foot.
You may feel tempted to stride out over the fields to buy your morning paper. Not that you are far from civilisation, as Hythe is just minutes away by car and pubs and restaurants can easily be reached on foot, if you have a mind to.
Accommodation
Good quality furnishings, interspersed with some antiques and books, make for pleasing and comfortable surroundings.
Accommodation comprises: Lounge, kitchen/diner, conservatory, wet room with shower, toilet and basin. First floor: shower room with toilet and basin, bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and basin, 4 bedrooms: 3 double, family room with 4 single beds of which one coverts to a small double. Also there is a bed settee on the ground floor and wash room facilities should anyone need ground floor sleeping. Gas central heating, open fire in lounge. Colour tv, DVD Player, radio/CD Player, washing machine, dishwasher, freezer, garden & patio with furniture, BBQ. Private outdoor pool (open April to Oct).
Parents please note that the swimming pool is close to the house and clearly visible. It is 2’6” in the shallow end and 5’9” in the deep end and although fenced off with a gate, you should remain vigilant and ensure the safety of any children using the pool.
There are no steps between the drive and the house, but the stairs make the house unsuitable for those with mobility problems, unless the sofa bed in the sitting room is acceptable for sleeping.

Travel Info & Local Advice
This property can be accessed via car using the M3, M27 & A326 to Fawley, or you can take a train to Southampton Central station, then you can get the free bus which links you to the Hythe Ferry Terminal at Town Quay via West Quay Shopping. Alternatively you can fly into Southampton Parkway Eastleigh Airport take a train to Southampton Central Train Station and as previously the bus and Ferry to Hythe. Travelling around the area is easy, and a car is not necessary. The New Forest Tour bus comes into Hythe during high season.
La Vista the Italian restaurant on Hythe Marina offers alfresco dining on a summers evening, the food is brilliant and the atmosphere and service is second to none, it is always fully booked so booking ahead is essential even during the winter months. The salt bar and kitchen almost opposite La Vista has a wine bar atmosphere and you can sit out on the terrace and watch the boats coming and going within the Marina. Within the Village you can eat at Ebenezers (converted chapel) and Mark the landlord and family are great hosts offering traditional food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. The Seagull situated next to Waitrose in the High Street offers great music at the weekend, dining and views over the Solent. For a great day shopping catch the Oldest Pier Train in the World down to the Hythe Ferry berth, take the crossing which lasts approx. 10 minutes, link to the IO Wight ferry or take the free bus to West Quay and High Street for a gastronomic shopping experience. London is also only an hour and 15 minutes away via Train. The quaint chocolate box towns/villages of Lymington, Lyndhurst, Sway, Burley & Brockenhurst are also closeby.
