Daisy Cottage Annexe is in an idyllic location and is a sought after area for Ramblers, the Island is renowned for its walking repertoire, having a network of over 500 miles of footpaths, including a 68 mile coastal walk with spectacular views. Beaches are within easy reach, 10 minute drive away, as is the beach at The Needles, a MUST visit, you’ll truly feel like you’re in the Mediterranean once you’ve walked down to the beach or taken the chairlift, coloured sands can be collected and rib rides are available around the needles. Lots to do up top too if you don’t want to descend to the beach, views are fab, best value Mr Whippy on the Island, glass blowing demonstrations amongst many other attractions too.
Visit the Observatory and St. Catherine’s Lighthouse, take in the spirit of days gone by, learn about its long history in helping sailors to navigate the coast. Blackgang Chine amusement park is under a mile away, it’s linked with Robin Hill Country Park just outside Newport, entry can include both parks and a return all week option for free once your first purchase to one of the parks has been made. Great for kids of all ages. Tapnell is within east reach too, being on the same side of the Island, essentially a farm site with activities for all including golf and low key go karting. The Cow Restaurant is sought after and is renowned for its offers many wholesome ‘burgers’.
